A travel tool built by a product manager who got tired of guessing when to leave for the airport.

The problem

Every time I had a flight, I'd do the same mental math: "OK, flight's at 3pm, so I need to be at the gate by 2:30, security takes... 20 minutes? Maybe 40? And traffic at that hour..." It was always a guess. Sometimes I'd arrive way too early and sit around for 2 hours. Other times I'd be sprinting through the terminal.

I built TakeoffTimer to replace that guesswork with real data.

How it works

TakeoffTimer pulls together 15+ real-time data points to calculate exactly when you should leave home for your flight. It factors in your specific flight time, real-time traffic from your location, current TSA security wait times, live weather conditions, whether you have PreCheck, checked bags, and more — then gives you a personalized departure timeline.
